TimeAccount Technical Implementation

Architecture

Time Track is based on Microsoft's .NET technology. It is a pure Web application, so there is no need to download and install any application on your desktop or laptop computer. So it can be used anywhere as long as you have an Internet browser available.

Database

As data storage Time Track uses, depending on your requirements, Microsoft SQL Server or for smaller ventures MS Access. Still for use in an Intranet infrastructure it is easily customizable to use IBM DB2 or Oracle databases. So, we support a multi-database approach and are not restricted to a specific database vendor.

Languages

The current implementation supports the simultaneous use of five different languages. These are Englisg, German, Spanish, French and Italian. You can change our language recommendation any time via the administrator interface. Other languages are available on request.

Deployment

We recommend to use Time Track in our Application Service Provider environment . Setup can be done within 24 hours. The only item you need to use TimeTrack is a webbrowser,

If you choose to let Time Track run in your local intranet infrastructure, you must provide an IIS.5 server, a SMTP server, .NET framework and an appropriate database engine. For all those who don't like the Internet stuff, it is possible to let Time Track run as desktop application as long as you have Windows XP Professional installed.
